Teochew Orh Nee is a very traditional Teochew cuisine. Raved and well-loved by many regular customers and the media, this dessert is definitely something you do not want to miss!
In the olden days, lard is used to make this dessert. Due to health considerations, we had exchanged it with freshly made shallot oil. We also lowered the sugar level, thus you are able to indulge in this dessert with much lesser guilt. Gingko nuts are added too!
To reheat:
From Chiller, steam for 15 mins
From Freezer, thaw for 10 mins. Steam over boiling water for 20 mins
